The Sky Remembered Cuff was inspired by a photograph of the sky taken on the day Dolly Parton passed away, when the clouds appeared almost impossibly like flames—curling, rising and moving across a field of blue.

That fleeting image is transformed here into something permanent. Graduated blue sapphires create a sky alive with depth and movement, while sweeping ribbons of white diamonds rise through them like illuminated clouds caught somewhere between flame, wind and light. The irregular upper silhouette allows those forms to escape the traditional boundary of a cuff, as though the sky itself could not be contained.

It is a piece about the strange beauty of a moment that will never happen in quite the same way again—and the instinct to hold onto it when it does.
